One third of older people in Northern Ireland say that they feel lonely, according to the manager of Carrick's Age NI shop.

Kevin Wilson said: “At this time of year in particular, feelings of loneliness can be even more pronounced but we can all make a difference to the lives of older relatives, neighbours and friends.

“Age NI’s ‘No-one should have no-one at Christmas’ campaign highlights the issue of loneliness in later life and encourages us all to look out for older people we know.
